Active Substances and Why They Work Together

• Amprolium – 4 grams

An established anticoccidial that blocks thiamine uptake in Eimeria spp., stopping reproduction of coccidia in the intestinal lining. It protects young pigeons from intestinal damage and bloody diarrhoea.

• Trimethoprim – 3 grams

A broad-spectrum antibacterial effective against enteric bacteria like E. coli and Salmonella. It inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis and helps control secondary bacterial complications in coccidial and protozoal infections.

• Ronidazole – 3 grams

An antiprotozoal that targets Trichomonas gallinae and Hexamita spp., which cause canker and intestinal protozoal infections. It prevents crop lesions and intestinal imbalance.
